Introduction to Mediation Course 

This course is for those who want to learn the process of mediation in order to provide mediation services through their workplace or organization. If your goal is to join the MV Mediation roster, handle court referred small claims, housing or civil cases, take on estate, divorce, family or juvenile cases; an apprenticeship and additional course work may be required. Once you have taken a course with us we guide you through the process, so sign up!

Sessions will be recorded. 

Meetings will be by Zoom video conferencing. Any in-person offerings will have Zoom option.

Many of the past participants have stated that the training to become a mediator has helped them in their work, family, and personal lives.  These skills have broad uses and the classes are fun and uplifting. Come ready to participate and interact.  All classes are by zoom.

If you want to become a Massachusetts qualified mediator these are the first 24 hours of 40 hours required training.

MA residents can request a reduced rate based on the MV Mediation scholarship and DEI program goals.

Introduction to Mediation – Qualification Course

Focus on mediation complexity and dilemmas including court, diversity, impasse, and ethics. Participants complete the course by mediating a full role play mediation case and receive collaborative feedback and support toward achieving professional level mediation practice.
